Belhaven Student, Jacqueline Bateman, Performs in Best of Belhaven II Concert

Jacqueline Bateman from Jackson, MS performed in the second installment of the Best of Belhaven concert and the concert featured a wide variety of musical performances from the gifted students in Belhaven's Music Department. Bateman is a senior at Belhaven pursuing a Bachelor of Arts in Music.

Dr. Stephen Sachs, Professor of Piano and Music Department Chair, said, "Best of Belhaven II highlights the finest work of our student musicians each semester, with a smorgasbord of musical treats--everything from piano works, instrumental pieces and solo songs to chamber music, musical theatre, and new compositions."

This diverse concert gave audience members a glimpse into the many concentrations available through Belhaven's music degree program which include: Collaborative Piano and Pedagogy, Composition, Music Ministries, Musical Theatre, Performance and Vocal Pedagogy and Choral Conducting.

The Best of Belhaven II performance was on April 16 in the Belhaven Center for the Arts, Concert Hall.
