Kimberly Stafford Celebrates Belhaven University Houston's Graduation

2012 May 7

Kimberly Stafford from Houston, TX applied for April graduation and is pursuing a Master of Science and Leadership from Belhaven University.

Belhaven University Houston recently celebrated the accomplishments of students at the April 19 commencement ceremony at Christ Evangelical Presbyterian Church.

Alison Gentry, Director of Admission and Student Services, said, "31 excited Belhaven students walked the stage and were honored. It was a time to celebrate goals accomplished, dreams coming true and lives being transformed. May the class of 2012 go on to do amazing things!"

Participating students heard from Dr. Doug Stringer, Founder and President of Somebody Cares America and Somebody Cares International. Somebody Cares is a global network of chapters, centers, affiliate and partner churches and organizations working together to bring hope and healing back to communities through prayer initiatives, outreaches and cooperative efforts.

The ceremony included a special dance performance from the Adult Praise Dance Ministry at the Windsor Village United Methodist Church.

Belhaven stands among the select Christian colleges and universities that offer a unique general core curriculum encouraging the development of a personal worldview. The university believes a Christian worldview is a key to preparing men and women academically and spiritually to serve Christ Jesus in their careers, in human relationships, and in the world of ideas.

Founded in 1883, Belhaven University now serves over 3,000 students from campuses in Jackson, Memphis, Orlando, Houston, Chattanooga, Atlanta and online, offering traditional undergraduate degrees, graduate and adult degree programs, and online degree programs.
